About Us

This book isn’t the work of a professional —it’s the creation of a mum and her child, born out of our journey to make learning to read and write a better experience. It’s for parents like me who are trying to find a way to engage a child who just doesn’t want to sit still with a book or a pencil. Every child learns differently, so I had to explore different strategies to make learning less stressful at home—more engaging, more fun, and more led by my child’s unique interests.

What makes this book special (and a little quirky!) is that the stories come straight from my child’s imagination. They don’t always make perfect sense to us adults, and the content can be wonderfully random—but isn’t that just how a child’s mind works?

This book is meant to give parents a starting point, encouraging them to try new approaches that suit their child’s individual learning needs. It’s about building on the lessons taught in school, adapting them in ways that work best at home, and creating a positive, child-centred path forward.
